The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announces CA Intermediate results a few weeks after the exams are held. Students will be able to download their results by logging in to the examination portal using their registration number. Step by Step instructions on how to download your result will be provided in this article along with passing criteria.
After the declaration of results, students also have the option of obtaining certified copies of their exam answer sheets and getting them verified for mistakes in marking. The procedure of those will also be explained here.

How to check your CA Inter result?
To check your results all you have to do is visit the official website of ICAI. There are three other websites you can check your result on. These are:

CA Inter Result – Passing Criteria
To pass your CA exam, you need a minimum of 40% in all individual subjects and an aggregate of 50% in total. So, if you studied well and understood all the concepts and topics thoroughly, then surely you will be able to pass and perform well on your CA exam.
ICAI – Merit List
ICAI releases a merit list soon after the result is declared. This merit list will contain the names and ranks of the top 50 scores in the CA Inter exam. It will also be released on their official website. You can check the merit list by following these instructions.

CA Intermediate Result – Statement of marks
Students who scored an aggregate of 70% marks in all CA Intermediate exams in a single attempt will be stated marks indicating that they passed the exam with distinction. This statement will be received by email shortly after the announcement of the result. If a student doesn’t receive the statement within 4-5 weeks from the declaration of results, they may contact ICAI exam helpline.
Verification of Answer sheets
After viewing the result, if you feel there might have been some errors in checking, you are not completely sure if the marking on your paper is done right, and you can apply for verification of your answer sheets. This can only be done within one month of the declaration of the result. A fee of Rs.100 will be deducted for the verification of each paper.

Obtaining copies of answer books
Students can apply to obtain certified copies of their answer sheets within the given deadline provided by ICAI. They will have to pay a fee of Rs.500 for obtaining answer sheets for each paper. The procedure for applying for the same is given below.

CA Intermediate Result – Previous year’s pass percentage
CA pass percentage refers to the percentage of candidates that passed the exam in a particular year in a particular term i.e. May or November. ICAI declares the pass percentage every year for all the exams.

What after the CA Intermediate result?
After the declaration of the CA Intermediate result, candidates can enroll in CA articleship for the next 3.5 years. Even if you pass only one of the two groups, you can still apply for articelship. To be eligible for CA Final, you must clear both groups of CA Inter. You will become an official member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India once you clear both groups for CA Final as well.
