CA Final Registration: How to Register, Fee and Documents

Who can register for CA Final

You can register for the Final course any time after passing both groups of the Intermediate exam (FAQ Q 4.1). There is no other condition for registering.

Registering does not by itself let you sit the exam. To appear in the Final exam you must also (FAQ Q 4.5):

• have completed your 2-year practical training six months before the first day of the exam month,
• have completed the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (Advanced ICITSS), and
• have passed all four Self-Paced Online Modules.

Where to register

All CA registrations, from Foundation to Final, are done on ICAI's Self Service Portal at eservices.icai.org (FAQ Q 1.3). You upload self-attested documents online, so there is no need to visit an ICAI office or post any papers (ICAI Prospectus, Final Course).

You log in with your existing SSP username and password. If you are an existing student who has never created an SSP login, ICAI asks you to create one on eservices.icai.org first (Guidance Notes for Final, November 2026).

When to register

ICAI sets no last date for Final registration: you can register any time after passing both Intermediate groups (FAQ Q 4.1). The deadlines of 1 January and 1 July that older guides mention no longer apply.

Registering soon after your Intermediate result still makes sense. The Self-Paced Online Modules can only be taken after you register for Final (FAQ Q 7.1) and must be passed before your first Final exam, so registering early lets you clear them during articleship. Your registration must also be valid on the day you fill in an exam form (Guidance Notes for Final, November 2026).

How to register, step by step

1. Log in at eservices.icai.org with your SSP username and password.
2. Go to Student Functions and open Course Registration. ICAI's SSP manual for course registration (written for the Intermediate form) explains that forms on this tab are shown only when you are eligible for them, so the Final form should appear once your pass in both Intermediate groups is on record.
3. Open the Final registration form and check the personal details, which are filled in from your existing profile.
4. Choose your subjects for the Self-Paced Online Modules: one elective under SET C and one under SET D. SET A and SET B are compulsory, and there is no separate fee for the modules (FAQ Q 7.3, 7.4). Our guide to CA Final subjects lists the options.
5. Upload the documents the form asks for, including your photograph and signature (see below).
6. Pay the ₹22,000 fee online and submit the form.
7. Download the fee receipt from your dashboard and keep the confirmation email.

ICAI's SSP manual for Intermediate registration, which uses the same payment step, says what to do if a payment goes wrong. If money is debited but the status shows failure, wait 48 hours for the system to update before you pay again. A fee deducted twice is refunded to your account within 2 to 3 weeks.

If you registered under the old scheme

Students already registered for Final under an earlier scheme do not register again. They convert to the new Final course on the portal, free of charge, under Student Functions > Student Module > Course Registration > Apply for Conversion. ICAI's November 2026 requirements ask every candidate whose dashboard course code is not NEWFIN23 or CONFIN23 to convert before applying for the exam.

Documents to upload

ICAI does not publish a separate document checklist for the Final form. The Prospectus says students submit self-attested documents online on the portal, and ICAI's SSP manual for Intermediate registration describes "mandatory documents like photo, signature etc." uploaded on the payment tab. Upload whatever the form lists for your case.

Your photograph and signature are printed on your admit card and mark sheets. ICAI's requirements for the November 2026 exams set this format and ask you to replace a photo or signature that does not meet it before you fill in an exam form:

If you are claiming a fee concession, you also upload proof (ICAI Prospectus, Scholarships and Fee Concessions):

• Ward of a deceased member: death certificate, proof of the parent's membership (membership card, certificate or fee receipt), an identity proof of the deceased member, and a declaration that family income is ₹5 lakh a year or less, attested by an ICAI member.
• Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or a North-East state: a domicile or permanent resident certificate and an identity proof such as Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, driving licence or ration card.
• Permanent disability of 40% or more: a disability certificate from a physician, surgeon or oculist working in a government hospital.

CA Final registration fees

ICAI's Prospectus lists these concessions on the registration fee:

• 75% for students from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the eight North-East states (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura), extended till 31 March 2028.
• 75% for wards of deceased members, so they pay ₹5,500 for Final.
• 100% for students with a permanent disability of 40% or more.

The exam fee is separate and is paid each time you apply for an exam. For the November 2026 session it was:

After you register

• Study material: you receive an email with login details for ICAI's Centralised Distribution System portal, where you order the Final study material and the SET A and SET B module material (FAQ Q 4.4). Final students get two coupons, valid for 3 years from registration or conversion (ICAI's CDS FAQs, 21 May 2026).
• Self-Paced Online Modules: work through them at your own pace and pass all four before your first Final exam (FAQ Q 4.5, 7.1).
• Advanced ICITSS: complete it before the exam; ICAI runs registration for it on its online registration portal for ICITSS and Advanced ICITSS.
• Exam form: for each session, apply online on the Self Service Portal within the dates ICAI announces and pay the exam fee (Guidance Notes for Final, November 2026).
• Validity: your Final registration is valid for 10 years and can be revalidated for ₹500 (FAQ Q 4.12).

Admit card

You do not get an admit card for registering; you get one for each exam you apply for. ICAI hosts admit cards on eservices.icai.org, generally 14 days before the exam starts, and does not send them by post (Guidance Notes for Final, November 2026).

The admit card is issued only if you meet all the eligibility conditions. When you print it, check your name, registration number, centre, medium and group straight away.
