CS Course Fees: CSEET, Executive and Professional Fees and Cut-off Dates

New students no longer start with a CS Foundation programme. According to ICSI's Student Services FAQs (18 Sep 2026), the course has three stages: CSEET, the Executive Programme and the Professional Programme. Our guide to the CS course explains the papers and training at each stage.

CSEET fee

• Registration: ₹7,500, which includes the one-day Student Induction Programme (SIP) and ICSI's free online classes. You must complete the SIP before you can enrol for the CSEET exam.
• Exam fee: ₹1,500 for each session you sit. Sitting at the overseas centre in Dubai adds a surcharge of US$100.
• Validity: you register once, and the registration is valid for 3 years from the month you register. After passing, you must register for CS Executive within 1 year of the result.
• Refunds: ICSI does not refund the CSEET fee, except when you pay twice by mistake.
• Study material comes with registration and is also on ICSI's website.

CS Executive registration fee

The Executive registration fee is made up of several parts. Direct-admission students also pay a ₹5,000 CSEET exemption fee:

ICSI's fee schedule lists the students who qualify for direct admission:

• graduates and post-graduates;
• students who have passed ICAI Intermediate or ICMAI Final;
• students who have passed the 6th semester of a recognised 5-year integrated programme;
• students appearing in the final year or final semester of their degree, or in the 6th semester of a 5-year integrated programme (provisional registration).

The pre-exam test fee pays for ICSI's online Pre-Exam Test, which Syllabus 2022 students must pass before enrolling for the main exams. Study material is sent within 21 working days of registration once your documents are uploaded. For the online steps, see our CS Executive registration guide.

CS Professional registration fee

Professional registration costs ₹20,000: an education fee of ₹19,000 plus the ₹1,000 pre-exam test fee. You can register after passing both groups of CS Executive under the same syllabus. The registration fee is the same whether you plan to sit one group or both. The difference is in the exam fee: ₹1,800 for one group or ₹3,600 for both.

Exam fees and other charges

These CS Executive and CS Professional exam fees apply from the December 2024 session onwards:

Other charges in ICSI's schedule:

• Late fee for the exam form: ₹250.
• Changing your exam centre, module, medium or optional subject: ₹250 per change.
• Adding a group after you submit the exam form: ₹250.
• Exam centre in Dubai: US$100 surcharge on top of the exam fee.
• Paper-wise exemption on the basis of ICMAI Final or an LLB with 50% marks: ₹1,000 per paper.
• Renewing an expired registration (registration de novo): ₹2,000 within two years of expiry, or ₹3,000 up to five years after expiry.

Training programme fees

ICSI's Student Training Guidelines 2024 set these fees for the compulsory training programmes:

ICSI lists no fee for the 21 months of long-term practical training. Instead, the company or practising Company Secretary training you must pay a stipend of at least ₹5,000 a month. Other CLDP modes, with different fees, are open only to specific groups, such as students exempted from training.

What the whole course costs in ICSI fees

This table adds up ICSI's listed fees for a general-category student who passes each exam on the first attempt and skips the optional journal. It is our arithmetic, not a total that ICSI publishes.

Not included: exam fees for repeat attempts, late fees, printed Professional study material, coaching, travel, and anything payable after the course, such as membership.

Fee concessions

ICSI gives concessions to several categories. These are the main ones from its fee schedule (29 Sep 2026). A dash means the schedule lists no concession for that fee.

The schedule lists further concessions, for example for ICLS officers, wards of deceased ICSI members, ICSI staff and students from 38 named districts declared Naxal-free. Check the schedule itself before you pay.

Registration cut-off dates

CSEET

CSEET is held in the first week of February, June and October. Register within these windows (ICSI Student Services FAQs, 18 Sep 2026):

For example, ICSI's CSEET page gives 31 October 2026 as the last date to register for the February 2027 session. Exam enrolment, with the ₹1,500 exam fee, is a separate step after you complete the SIP.

CS Executive and CS Professional

Executive and Professional exams are held in June and December. You must be registered by these dates to sit a session:

The Professional dates come from ICSI's registration notice. You cannot sit a session if you register after its cut-off, even with a late fee. The Executive dates follow Regulation 35 of the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982. It requires registration at least six calendar months before the exam month to sit both groups, or four months to sit one group. ICSI's own example is that students registered up to May may sit both groups in December, and students registered up to July may sit one group.

How to register and pay

• Online only: ICSI does not accept downloaded or paper registration forms. CSEET and Executive registration links are on ICSI's "Become a CS" page. Professional registration is done after logging in to ICSI's SMASH student portal.
• Payment: credit card, debit card, net banking or a Canara Bank challan. Your registration number (your user ID) is issued as soon as the payment goes through.
• Documents to upload (as listed on ICSI's registration pages):
  • photograph (20 to 50 KB) and signature (10 to 20 KB);
  • date of birth proof (Class 10 pass certificate);
  • qualification certificate: Class 12 mark sheet or admit card for CSEET, CSEET pass certificate for Executive after CSEET, or your graduation, ICAI or ICMAI certificate for direct admission;
  • category certificate, if you are not in the general category;
  • identity proof: Aadhaar, passport, voter ID, PAN card, driving licence or ration card.

Files must be in JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP or PDF format and no larger than 2 MB each.
