CS Professional Exam Dates, Time Table and Exam Pattern

December 2026 time table

If you sit only Group 1, your papers fall on 21, 23, 26 and 28 December. If you sit only Group 2, they fall on 22, 24 and 27 December. CS Executive papers are held on the same days; their dates are in our CS Executive exam date guide.

June 2027 exam dates

ICSI had not published the June 2027 time table when we checked on 7 October 2026. It has announced recent sessions' dates in its result announcements and press releases: its press release of 25 February 2026 said the June 2026 Professional and Executive exams would be held from 1 to 7 June 2026 in the morning session, and its result announcement of 21 August 2026 gave the December 2026 dates.

What is already fixed for June 2027:

• Registration cut-offs: to sit both groups in June 2027 you must be registered for CS Professional by 30 November 2026; for one group, by 31 January 2027. If you register after the cut-off, you cannot sit that session, even with a late fee (ICSI Student Services FAQs). Our CS Professional registration guide explains the steps and fees.
• Exam form: 26 February to 25 March 2027, or 26 March to 9 April 2027 with a ₹250 late fee (ICSI Student Services FAQs).

Dates in every exam cycle

These windows repeat every year, according to ICSI's Student Services FAQs (18 September 2026):

Recent results came out on 25 February 2026 for the December 2025 session and on 25 August 2026 for the June 2026 session (ICSI press release and result announcement). CS Professional exam pattern

There are no modules any more. Under the old Syllabus 2017, CS Professional had three modules with eight papers plus an elective. ICSI held the last exam under that syllabus in June 2025, and from the December 2025 session all students take Syllabus 2022 (ICSI Student Services FAQs). Passing marks

To pass a group you need at least 40% in each paper and 50% in the aggregate of that group's papers, in one sitting (Regulation 40, Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982):

If you fail a group but score 60% or more in a paper, with at least 25% in each of the group's other papers, you are exempted from that paper in later exams.

Exam form, admit card and centres

• Exam form: fill it in online on ICSI's SMASH portal (Module, then Enrolment, then Examination Enrolment Request). The exam fee is ₹1,800 per group, ₹900 per group for SC/ST students and ₹450 per group for physically handicapped students (ICSI Student Services FAQs).
• Pre-Exam Test first: Syllabus 2022 students must pass the online Pre-Exam Test before they can enrol for the main exams. Its ₹1,000 fee is part of the Professional registration fee.
• Exam centres: ICSI's list for the December 2026 session onwards covers cities in its Eastern, Northern, Southern and Western regions, plus one overseas centre in Dubai, which costs an extra US $100.
• Changing centre, medium or group: apply online at least 30 days before the exams start, with the fee. You cannot change to another centre in the same city (Regulation 33 and ICSI Student Services FAQs).
• Admit card: download it from icsi.edu; it is available 10 days before the exams start.
• Candidates with disabilities: candidates with at least 40% permanent disability get 20 minutes of extra time per hour and can ask for a scribe. Apply in ICSI's prescribed form at least 45 days before the exams (ICSI FAQs on CS exam guidelines).

Study material for the December 2026 exams

ICSI's list of study material for the December 2026 exams (28 July 2026) shows that most Professional papers are updated to 31 May 2026, and Paper 6 and Elective 7.5 to 3 June 2026. Two electives are older: 4.5 Advanced Direct Tax Laws & Practice is updated to 31 October 2025, and 7.2 GST & Corporate Tax Planning to 31 May 2025.
