CS Professional Result: How to Check It, Passing Marks and Pass Percentage

CS Professional is the last of the three CS exam levels, after CSEET and CS Executive. This guide covers the Professional result only; for the Executive stage, see our CS Executive result guide.

When ICSI declares the CS Professional result

ICSI publishes a short "Result announcement" a few days before each result. For the June 2026 session it was dated 21 August 2026 and set the Professional result for 11:00 a.m. and the Executive result for 2:00 p.m. on 25 August 2026. The dates below come from ICSI's result press releases.

The next Professional exams are scheduled for 21–28 December 2026 (ICSI result announcement, 21 August 2026). ICSI has not announced the date of that result yet. The last five results each came out on the 25th of the second month after the exams, but only ICSI's result announcement on its Results page confirms the date.

How to check your result and get your marksheet

1. Open the Results page on icsi.edu, or go straight to ICSI's result portal.
2. Under the current session, select Professional Programme (Syllabus 2022).
3. Enter your roll number and your 17-digit registration number.
4. Your result opens with the marks for each subject. Save or print it for your records.

Printed marksheet and pass certificate

The Professional stage works differently from Executive and CSEET, where the marksheet is electronic only. According to ICSI's result announcement of 21 August 2026, the Result-cum-Marks Statement for the Professional Programme is posted to your registered address soon after the result. If it has not reached you within 30 days, write to exam@icsi.edu with your details.

ICSI issues a pass certificate only to students who pass the Professional Programme (Student Services FAQs, 18 September 2026). If you lose your marksheet, a duplicate costs ₹100 per copy plus ₹40 postage. You apply and pay online through the link in ICSI's duplicate marksheet notice.

Passing marks for CS Professional

The Professional Programme (Syllabus 2022) has seven papers in two groups. Group 1 has four papers, including Elective 1, and Group 2 has three, including Elective 2 (ICSI Professional Programme page). ICSI's "Qualifying Marks (Passing Criteria)" document sets these rules. It still uses the older word "module" for a group.

• One group: you pass with at least 40% in each paper and 50% in the aggregate of that group's papers, in one sitting.
• Both groups together: you pass with at least 40% in each paper and 50% in the aggregate of all the papers together, in one sitting.
• 60% exemption: suppose you sat every paper of a group and failed it. Any paper where you scored 60% or more becomes exempt in later attempts, as long as you scored at least 25% in each of the group's other papers. Marks from an exempted paper are not counted when ICSI works out your result for the remaining papers. If you don't want the exemption, you can ask ICSI to cancel it before the last enrolment date for your next exam.
• One failed paper: suppose you sat every paper of a group without any exemption and failed just one paper. If you scored at least 60% of the total marks in the group's other papers, you pass the group by scoring 50% in that one paper in a later exam.

CS Professional pass percentage

ICSI states the share of candidates who passed each group in the press release it issues on result day. These are the figures for the Professional Programme (Syllabus 2022):

Before Syllabus 2022, the Professional exam had three modules, so pass percentages from earlier sessions can't be compared with these. Executive pass percentages are in the CS Executive result guide linked above.

Ranks and the merit list

Ranks go only to candidates who pass all papers of the Professional stage in one sitting without claiming an exemption. ICSI ranks the top 10 whatever their percentage. Ranks 11 to 25 go only to candidates who score at least 55% in aggregate (ICSI Examination FAQs, October 2024). ICSI publishes a provisional merit list after the result, and the final rank list after verification of marks closes. Verification of marks and copies of answer books

You apply for each of these services through your account on ICSI's SMASH portal. Deadlines run from the date the result is declared.

For the June 2026 session, verification of marks was open from 26 August to 15 September 2026, and inspection and certified copies from 26 August to 24 September 2026. ICSI's FAQs on these services add the following points:

• None of these services is a re-evaluation. The outcome can be no change, higher marks or lower marks.
• Fees are not refunded in any case.
• Applications are normally processed within seven weeks. You can track yours on ICSI's application status page.
• Enrol for the next exam without waiting for the outcome. If your result changes, ICSI refunds the exam fee for that group or adjusts it against future payments.

Free copy of your answer book

ICSI also gives free copies of evaluated answer books through its Examination Answer Book Portal (cc.icsi.edu). For the June 2026 session, the portal opened on 26 August 2026 and copies were available until 9 October 2026, which is 45 days from the result. ICSI's notice for that session says that if you find an error after viewing your answer book, you can apply for verification of marks within 60 days of the result or within 15 days of accessing the answer book, whichever is earlier.

If you did not pass a group

Enrol again for the next session. Enrolment for the December 2026 exams opened on 26 August 2026; our guide to CS Professional exam dates has the schedule. Your Professional registration is valid for five years (Student Services FAQs, 18 September 2026). Before you re-enrol, check your marksheet for any paper where you scored 60% or more, because an exemption means you won't sit that paper again.

After you pass CS Professional

Under ICSI's Student Training Guidelines, 21 months of long-term practical training starts after you pass CS Executive and complete the 30-day Executive Development Programme (EDP), so many students are already training when they take Professional. The last training step is the 30-day Corporate Leadership Development Programme (CLDP). You can join it once you have passed Professional and completed the EDP and the 21 months of training.

Within six months of your Professional result, you can also apply to ICSI for enrolment as a Licentiate. The annual subscription is ₹1,180 (₹1,000 plus 18% GST), according to ICSI's Licentiate page.
