Don’t worry the wait isn’t long. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) releases CS Professional results soon after the examination is held.

When will CS Professional results be out?

CS Professional results are declared by ICSI (The Institute of Company Secretaries of India) on their official website soon after the examination is held. ICSI releases CS Professional results through online mode on their website portal where you can easily check and download them. They take approximately 40 days or 6 weeks after the examination to declare results. For example, if your exam was held in the month of December, then the expected date would be somewhere between February and March. So, the wait isn’t long. Your CS professional result will soon be in your hands and the peace of mind you are craving will be yours to keep.

Where and how to check your CS Professional result?

CS Professional results will be declared on the official website of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). The link for the official website is provided below.

Keep checking the website for new updates and announcements to know when your result is out. The link for your CS result will be present on the website once they are out. For more detailed instructions on how to check and download your result, follow the steps given below.

Here is a detailed step by step instruction on how to check your CS Professional result:

Step 1 – Visit ICSI’s official website
Step 2 – Click the result link and select CS Professional examination

Step 3 – Enter your roll number and registration id and click on proceed to check the result

Step 4 – Your mark sheet will be displayed. Make sure to download it.

Your CS professional result will consist of your name, roll number, registration number, syllabus, modules you appeared in, marks obtained in modules, marks obtained in total, and status. Download your result then and there, multiple times for safety.

CS Professional Results – Passing Criteria

CS exam is quite challenging, we all know that, and the competition doesn’t make things any easier, but only harder. Hence the expected passing percentage is never too high. To pass your CS exam, you need a minimum of 40% in all individual subjects and an aggregate of 50% in total. So, if you studied well and understood all the concepts and topics thoroughly, then surely you will be able to pass and perform well on your CS exam.

When and How to Obtain your Answer Sheets

If you need your answer sheets because you feel there might have been an error in checking, your CS professional result is far from what you expected, then you can apply to obtain certified photocopies of your answer sheets. Keep in mind that you can only apply to obtain your answer sheets within 30 days from the date of declaration of CS result.

Note: you will be charged a fee of Rs.500/-paper

Procedure for Verification of your Result

Now that you have checked your answer sheets, if you are not satisfied with your CS result and find an error, you can apply for verification of your result within 21 days from the date when the CS result was announced. You can apply for verification of your answer sheets for only two reasons:

  1. If one or more answer is left unchecked or unmarked.
  2. If there is an error in the calculation of your total marks.

No other reason or doubt will be verified.

Note: you will be charged a fee of Rs.250/-paper. If they find an error during verification, you will be notified and the fee will be refunded.

Stepwise instructions to apply for verification of your ICSI result:

Step 1: visit –  ICSI’s official website

Step 2: Click on the update option of “verification of marks”

Step 3: select your module and exam and chose the verification option

Step 4: make a new request

Step 5: Select the “request type” option and select the subject for which you want verification

Step 6: make the payment and save the transaction ID

CS Professional Pass Percentage – for the previous year’s results

CS professional pass percentage refers to the percentage of candidates that passed the exam in a particular year in a particular term i.e., June or December. ICSI declares the pass percentage every year for all the exams.

What if you fail your CS Professional exam?

If your CS Professional result is not what you wished for, if the status on your CS result is “fail”, then don’t worry! You can give the exam again. Register again, pay the exam fee and start studying. Do not quit or be demotivated for long, because valuable things don’t always come that easy and you might just need to follow a different approach to pass.
