CMA Pass Percentage: ICMAI's Latest Figures by Level

In the June 2026 term, 19.68% of candidates who sat both CMA Intermediate groups passed both, and 32.97% of those who sat both CMA Final groups passed both, according to ICMAI's result press release for that term. Pass rates for a single group ranged from 23.93% (Intermediate Group I) to 44.21% (Final Group IV). ICMAI did not publish a pass percentage with the June 2026 Foundation result.

CMA pass percentage, June 2026 term

ICMAI publishes a result analysis with the Intermediate and Final results of each term. These are the figures for the June 2026 term (Syllabus 2022):

How to read the figures

"Group only" rows count candidates who sat one group in that term. A pass there clears that group only.
"Both groups" rows count candidates who sat both groups together. "Passed one" means they cleared just one of the two groups; "passed both" means they cleared the level in that term.
The course-completion numbers (7,885 Intermediate, 4,220 Final) are larger than the "passed both" counts, because you also complete a level by passing the one group you had left.

CMA Foundation pass percentage

For the June 2026 Foundation exam, ICMAI's result page gives a pass list of roll numbers (dated 9 July 2026), a merit list and the link to check individual results, but no table of candidates appeared and passed. We could not find an official Foundation pass percentage for that term, so we don't quote one. The Foundation result guide linked above covers the Foundation result itself.

Passing marks behind the percentages

ICMAI's Prospectus 2025 (Syllabus 2022) sets the standard of pass:

Foundation	At least 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate of total marks
Intermediate or Final, one group	At least 40% in each paper of the group and 50% aggregate of the group's non-exempted papers
Intermediate or Final, both groups together	At least 40% in each paper appeared and 50% aggregate taking both groups together

At Intermediate and Final, a paper in which you score 60% or more in a group you did not pass is exempt in later attempts, for the next three successive exam terms. There is no exemption or carry-forward at Foundation. The level guides above explain how exemption and carry-forward of marks work, and CMA exams lists the papers in each group.

When CMA results are declared

ICMAI states the result date in each term's examination time table. For the December 2026 term:

Foundation: result latest by 7 January 2027.
Intermediate and Final: result latest by 5 February 2027.

Results are published on ICMAI's website. Check its results page for the exact day.

How to check and download your result

Open ICMAI's results page, icmai.in/ClntStudents/Result (on icmai.in, the Result link in the Examination section).
Choose the result link for your level and term.
Enter your details:
- Foundation: your identification number (for example, in the format SF0000000123).
- Intermediate and Final: your 11-digit registration number and 6-digit roll number.

Marksheet and DigiLocker

Foundation: the marksheet is downloaded from ICMAI's website only; no hard copy is sent. The downloaded marksheet is accepted for admission to the Intermediate course.
Intermediate and Final: ICMAI sends each candidate a marksheet showing the marks in every paper they sat.
DigiLocker: CMA marksheets from 2020 onwards can be downloaded from DigiLocker after you register there (ICMAI announcement of 21 February 2024).
Duplicate marksheet: available for an exam held within the last five years, for a fee of ₹100.

Rank lists and merit lists

ICMAI publishes provisional rank lists for Intermediate and Final with the results, and a merit list for Foundation. The June 2026 Intermediate and Final rank lists are on its Rank List page.

The lists show each rank holder's rank, registration number, name and city. They do not show marks, so use your own marksheet for your scores.

Verification and photocopies of answer scripts

ICMAI does not re-mark answers. Its verification checks only for totalling mistakes and answers left unexamined:

Payment is online only.
If verification finds a mistake, the fee for that paper is refunded on application.
If you apply for both, ICMAI sends the photocopy only after verification is complete.
Verification results are posted on ICMAI's Verification Result page. ICMAI advises submitting your next exam form on time instead of waiting for them.

Before you apply

Since the December 2024 term, ICMAI keeps evaluated Intermediate and Final answer scripts in soft copy for one year after the result and the original hard copy for 60 days. If you did not pass

Check your paper-wise marks. At Intermediate and Final, any paper with 60% or more may be exempt in your next attempts.
Apply for verification only if you suspect a totalling error or an unmarked answer.
Fill the next exam form on time. For the December 2026 Intermediate and Final exams, ICMAI's time table set 10 October 2026 as the last date without late fee, and 11 to 17 October 2026 with a late fee of ₹500.
