CS Executive Result: Pass Percentage, Passing Marks and How to Check

When ICSI declares the CS Executive result

ICSI holds the Executive exams twice a year, in June and December, and announces each result date in advance in a result announcement on its results page. In recent sessions, the dates have followed a pattern:

The June 2026 exams were scheduled from 1 to 7 June 2026 (ICSI press release, 25 February 2026). The December 2026 exams run from 21 to 28 December 2026 (ICSI time table); ICSI had not announced their result date when we last checked. The dates above come from ICSI's press releases and its result announcement of 21 August 2026; they are a pattern, not a rule ICSI has published.

How to check the result and download the e-marksheet

1. Open ICSI's result portal. It is also linked from the ICSI results page as "CS Examinations (e-Marks statement for Foundation/Executive)".
2. Under "Executive & Professional Programme", select "Executive Programme (Syllabus 2022)".
3. Enter your roll number (it is on your e-admit card) and your 17-digit registration number.
4. Submit to see your result with the marks for each paper, then download and save the e-marksheet.

ICSI calls the e-marksheet the e-Result-cum-Marks Statement and uploads it straight after the result is declared. Executive students do not get a printed marksheet; only Professional students are sent one by post. ICSI also stopped issuing pass certificates to Executive passes from the June 2010 session (Student Services FAQs, 18 September 2026), so the e-marksheet is your record of passing.

Results of earlier sessions

The portal's link "Click here to download results & e-marksheets for all sessions" opens ICSI's results archive, which has the session results and the verification results for past sessions. According to ICSI's notice on duplicate marksheets, Executive marksheets from the June 2011 session onwards are available online; for queries, ICSI gives the address exam@icsi.edu.

CS Executive passing marks

ICSI's passing criteria for the Executive Programme (its qualifying-marks document still says "module"; under Syllabus 2022 these are the two groups):

• One group: at least 40% in each paper and 50% in the aggregate of all papers of that group, in one sitting.
• Both groups together: at least 40% in each paper and 50% in the aggregate of all the papers put together, in one sitting.
• You complete the Executive Programme when you have passed both groups.

If you fail a group: exemptions and the one-paper rule

A "fail" on your e-marksheet does not always mean starting the group again. Two provisions in ICSI's qualifying-marks rules can help:

• 60% exemption: if you appeared in all papers of the group, scored 60% or more in a paper and at least 25% in each of the other papers of that group, you are exempted from that paper in later exams. You must have sat every paper; ICSI's FAQs confirm that being absent from one paper rules out the exemption. No fee is charged for it, and you can cancel it if you prefer to sit the paper again.
• Failed in one paper only: if you sat all papers of the group without any exemption, failed one paper but scored at least 60% of the total marks of the remaining papers, you pass the group by scoring 50% in that one paper in a later exam.

Marks of exempted papers do not count towards the aggregate of the remaining papers.

CS Executive pass percentage

ICSI publishes the share of candidates who passed each group in a press release on result day. It does not give a single figure for the whole Executive Programme.

Merit list and toppers

ICSI publishes an All India Provisional Merit List and a list of the top 3 rank holders on its results page. The list covers candidates who passed all papers of the Executive Programme in one sitting without exemption in any paper. For June 2026, Vidhi Suthar (Udaipur centre) secured All-India First Rank.

Verification of marks and copies of answer books

If you think a mistake was made, ICSI offers these services, applied for through your SMASH account:

For the June 2026 session, verification of marks was open from 26 August to 15 September 2026, and inspection and certified copies from 26 August to 24 September 2026. Fees are not refunded under any circumstances.

Is verification of marks worth it?

It depends on what you expect. ICSI does not re-evaluate answers: verification only catches answers that were left unevaluated and errors in posting or totalling marks. The outcome can be no change, an increase in marks or a decrease. ICSI's FAQ says applications are normally processed within 7 weeks; the outcome is posted on its application status page and in the verification results on the results archive. If you hear nothing within 45 days of applying, email vom@icsi.edu, addressed to the Director (Exams.), with your application details.

Free copy of your answer book

ICSI also gives a free copy of your evaluated answer book on its Examination Answer Book Portal (cc.icsi.edu), without an RTI application. For the June 2026 session the portal opened on 26 August 2026, and ICSI supplies copies for 45 days from the result, until 9 October 2026. If the copy shows an error, ICSI's notice says to apply for verification of marks on SMASH within 60 days of the result or 15 days of accessing the answer book, whichever is earlier.

ICSI advises enrolling for the next exam without waiting for the outcome of verification; if your result changes, the exam fee for that group is refunded or adjusted.

After the CS Executive result

If you passed both groups

You can register for CS Professional through the SMASH portal; ICSI's FAQs give the fee as ₹19,000 education fee plus ₹1,000 pre-exam test fee. Passing the Executive Programme also makes you eligible for the 30-day Executive Development Programme (EDP), and after the EDP for the 21 months of long-term training (ICSI Student Training Guidelines 2024).

If you need another attempt

Enrol for the next session on SMASH. ICSI's exam form windows are 26 August to 25 September for December exams and 26 February to 25 March for June exams, or with a ₹250 late fee from 26 September to 10 October (December) and 26 March to 9 April (June). The exam fee is ₹1,500 per group (ICSI fee schedule, 29 September 2026). Your Executive registration is valid for five years and can be renewed by registration de novo.
